SF AIRLINES ADDS LA SERVICE AS EXPANSION PLANS CONTINUE

Shenzen-based SF Airlines is adding a new US service starting this month as it expansion plans continue.

 

The Chinese express carrier said it is operating on a rotation a Shenzhen-Hangzhou-Los Angeles service, utilising Boeing 747-400 capacity.

 

The service commenced on November 7 and the maiden flight transported general cargo and e-commerce products, the carrier said. 

 

Shenzhen and Hangzhou both have an “active import and export trade, a high degree of clustering of manufacturing industries, and strong demand for air cargo,” SF Airlines said.

 

International expansion

 

Aside from this new service, SF Airlines also operates a direct operation between Los Angeles and Hangzhou and also serves New York.

 

Days before the announcement, SF Airlines also noted additional services to Frankfurt in a bid to further expand its international footprint.

 

Aside from expanding its network, SF has also been growing its fleet ti support its growth. 

 

Just on November 10, the carrier completed the conversion of its 61st aircraft, a B757-200F — joining SF's fleet just in time for the 11/11 shopping festival in Asia and the Black Friday on November 27. 

 

SF Airlines is currently the largest cargo airline in China, with a fleet of 61 aircraft, serving more than 70 cities and coverage of Southeast AsiaCentral Asia and Europe.
