Aeroflot's board elected Mikhail Poluboyarinov as CEO during a November 20 Board of Directors meeting effective immediately.

Prior to his election as CEO of PJSC Aeroflot, Poluboyarinov held the position of CEO of State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). He has been a member of PJSC Aeroflot’s Board of Directors and has many years of work experience in executive-level positions including financial management of the company. 

"The Board of Directors decided to early terminate the powers of PJSC Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Saveliev following his appointment as Minister of Transport on 10 November 2020 by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation," the Aeroflot statement said.

Vitaly Saveliev has been elected Chairman of Board of Directors of PJSC Aeroflot by the resolution of the Board of Directors.
