TURKISH CARGO PARTNERS WITH WEBCARGO AS BOOKING PORTAL DEMAND SOARS

Turkish Cargo announced it will soon join an online booking portal for the first time after it inked a partnership with WebCargo, which has reported e in the amount of capacity listed on the portal over the last year.

 

The carrier said through the platform, it will forwarders around the world will be able to conduct real-time eBookings, access live rates, and see Turkish Cargo's available air cargo capacity.

 

This provides critical agility as air cargo contends with unexpected shifts due to the global pandemic, it added.

 

“Live access to capacity and price supports our ongoing commitment to providing Hellmann customers with outstanding service. We’re delighted to see Turkish Cargo on WebCargo,” Christian Tesch, director Airfreight Carrier Relations & Procurement at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics said.

 

Turkish Cargo noted that it will first roll out on WebCargo in Spain and India, and will be quickly followed by rollouts in several more countries.

 

With the airline’s shift to global eBookings, more than 20% of global air cargo capacity will now be digitized, providing more than 2,000 WebCargo forwarders customers across over 10,000 global branches with instant access to capacity and pricing.

Manel Galindo, CEO of WebCargo noted that in the past year, eBookings have increased tenfold on WebCargo “making it clear that the future of air cargo is digital.”
