Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has extended its cargo handling partnership with Turkish Airlines at Dallas/Fort Worth International and Houston (Houston George Bush Intercontinental) airports.

The ground handler said expects to handle around 31,000 tonnes of cargo annually for Turkish Airlines at the two North American airports.

In Dallas Forthworth gateway, WFS started handling four Boeing 777 passenger flights to Turkish Airlines' Istanbul hub.

WFS noted that the new deal at Houston begins in March and WFS will handle three to four freighter flights per week and a daily B-777 passenger service to Istanbul.

WFS said it already holds a freighter ramp handling contract with Turkish Airlines in Houston.

"We are pleased to expand our relationship with Turkish Airlines in North America, where we also provide passenger handling services in Chicago," said Mike Simpson, executive vice president Americas at WFS.

Simpson noted that these contracts extend the existing cooperation in Houston, while Dallas/Fort Worth is a new station for WFS to provide service to Turkish Airlines.

"Our local teams are proud to have earned the trust of one of the world's leading cargo carrying airlines, and we look forward to growing our partnership to other locations in the near future," the WFS executive added.
