DACHAN BAY TERMINALS WELCOMES NEW MSC ASIA SERVICE
May 18, 2022

The enhanced Seagull service of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) which has a new weekly port call in Western Shenzhen started calling at DaChan Bay Terminals on May 18 with the berthing of the vessel "AMALTHEA."

The Shenzhen-based terminal operator said the addition of DaChan Bay Terminals in the port rotation enhances the service which now offers coverage in both North and South China.

It added that the enhanced Seagull service offers direct connections to more ports in China, and exporters in South China can enjoy quick transit times to Vietnam, Thailand, and other Asian countries to capture the opportunities brought by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement which came into effect at the beginning of this year.

"This is the third service of MSC at DaChan Bay Terminals and we are glad to enhance our collaboration with the world's largest shipping line. It enhances our Asia network and offers customers more choices. We will work together to provide quality services for shippers as always," said Brian Yeung, DaChan Bay Terminals managing director.

Five container vessels are deployed in the Seagull service. The service calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Monday with a port rotation of Shanghai – Ningbo – DaChan Bay – Vung Tau – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Penang – Port Klang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Qinzhou – Hong Kong – Shanghai.
