Geodis has operated its first freighter service between Italy and China.

The French logistics and transportation company said the Airbus A330-300 freighter departed from Malpensa airport and flew to Shanghai.

"Geodis in Italy is proud to have hosted our Airbus A330-300 freighter at Malpensa airport last week," the company said on LinkedIn. "It's the first time GEODIS freighter operates between Italy and China!"

Geodis added: "With a total weight of 30 tons, the operation was successfully completed and reached its final destination: Shanghai."
