FEDEX LAUNCHES NEW FLIGHTS TO ADDRESS INTRA-ASIA TRADE DEMAND
July 25, 2022

FedEx Express is bolstering its Asia network with the launch of eight new flights from Clark, Philippines a major gateway in the country to cater to the rising demand in intra-Asia trade.

The American express logistics giant said these flights are the latest addition to the company's robust network that will enable FedEx to expand its airfreight capacity by over 700,000 pounds per week and provide its customers with direct connectivity between North Pacific and Southeast Asian markets.

"With these new flights, Philippine exporters and importers will have access to 56 weekly flights coming in and out of Clark," FedEx said in its announcement, adding that it also enables a one-day transit time improvement from South Korea to the Philippines, providing an excellent opportunity for local importers.

For this lane, FedEx is using fuel-efficient Boeing 767 freighters and will operate four days a week with two loops - the Northern & Southern Loop.

The Northern Loop connects Osaka, Japan, and Incheon, South Korea to the Clark Gateway four times a week.

With the Southern Loop, in addition to the existing flights to China, FedEx has added stops in Singapore four times a week, connecting the city-state directly to Clark.
