Air Canada Cargo's freighter fleet is getting a facelift and the first Boeing 767F to receive a new paint job has left the paint shop.

The black, white, and red livery for the B767F was first used in 2017.

Air Canada said the plane is one of two factory-built freighters delivered to the carrier this summer and will enter service next year. It also announced the acquisition of two Boeing 777 freighters which will enter service in 2024. 

"Seeing the livery come to life on one of our aircraft is a special moment for everyone at Air Canada, and especially for those of us in Cargo. Our fleet of freighters covers high-demand trade lanes globally while now proudly flying our brand," said Jason Berry, vice president, Cargo at Air Canada.

"After so many months of hard work, we are excited for this important step signalling our strategic growth and can’t wait to see it in the sky soon."

The factory-built Boeing 767 freighter will offer four different main deck configurations and has an overall cargo capacity of nearly 58 tonnes.

The new freighter also features a temperature-controlled lower deck, with a large door in the back to allow for the loading of pallets.
