The multimodal facility facilitates all of U-Freight America's air and ocean freight operations, as well as its ever-growing presence in the e-commerce logistics business in the markets across the US Mid West.

"[U-Freight America's logistics hub in Chicago], which is more than double the size of our previous facility, is now fully operational and has plenty of racked space for your palletised freight, and offers great access to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, one of the country's most important international gateways," U-Freight said.

In Los Angeles, it said that the re-racking of its wholly-owned logistics hub in the City of Industry is now complete providing an 80,000 sq ft hub from which U-Freight America offers fully-integrated logistics services.

Both logistics hubs include enhanced E-commerce Fulfillment Centres (EFCs), in which the U-Freight Group is investing at many of its facilities across Asia, Europe and North America.

U-Freight noted that currently, research is also being undertaken on the introduction of automation and robotics in the near future.

"Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, our decision to integrate our air freight, logistics and eCommerce operations at one enhanced location is proving to have been a wise one," it said.

U-Freight added that business, much of it e-commerce related, is booming at the facility, which has 1,000 sq m of storage space and 325 sq m of offices and is located in Rijsenhout, close to Schiphol airport.
