OOCL LAUNCHES NEW JAPAN-PHILIPPINES SERVICE
December 4, 2023

Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced that it will be expanding its regional service network with a new service between Japan and the Philippines.

OOCL said the new KTX4 Service will begin service on January 8, 2024, from Manila.

"KTX4 will enhance the network coverage between Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China and the Philippines, providing customers with competitive and reliable shipment options," the Hong Kong-headquartered shipping line said.

It added that KTX4 directly connects multiple ports in Japan with the Philippines to cater for the demand in the market.

KTX4 will follow the Osaka – Kobe – Tokyo – Yokohama – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Manila (North Harbor) – Manila (South Harbor) – Hong Kong – Shekou – Osaka port rotation.

"Together with existing KTX suite services, OOCL would provide a more comprehensive service coverage between Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China and ASEAN countries," it said.
