Amsterdam Airport Schiphol handled 128,198 tonnes of air cargo in December 2025, closing the year on a positive note, 8.5% above the same month last year.
The belly vs. full freighter split shifted to 43%/57%, a two-point gain for full freighters compared to December 2024.
The airport noted that the inbound/outbound split was 54%/46%. Inbound volumes showed strong growth from the Far East (+25%) and Middle & South America (+13%), while volumes from the U.S. also increased by 2%.
On the outbound side, volumes to the Far East grew by 10% year-on-year, while Europe increased by 12%.
Volumes to the U.S. remained below last year (-13%), though the decline was less pronounced than in previous months.
Top commodities in December included electrical machinery, flowers, fruit & vegetables, fashion, fish, pharmaceuticals and spare parts.
For full year 2025, Schiphol Cargo handled 1.43 million tonnes of air freight.
