Emirates SkyCargo has appointed Ross Barnett as its cargo manager in the UK.

Barnett will be based in London and will oversee the 45 employees in the UK. He will also drive sales growth and ensure operational excellence.

Emirates operates a twice-weekly Boeing 747-400ERF flight to Heathrow, and operates 18 passenger flights a day to Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow.

Barnett has more than 30 years of experience in the cargo industry. He joined Emirates in 1995 and was most recently cargo manager of Northern England and Scotland, according to Emirates.
