Vietnam Airlines has taken delivery of its first A350-900 from Airbus.
This will be the first of 14 A350s for Vietnam Airlines, including 10 ordered directly from Airbus and four from lessors.
The airline will inaugurate the A350 on domestic flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh later this week before deploying it on long haul flights to Paris in the fall.
The aircraft delivered today is on lease from AerCap and is the fifth A350 to be delivered, following the type’s entry into service with Qatar Airways earlier this year.
