“Gulf Air prides itself on operating to the highest global safety standards and industry best practices – this is our main priority,” said Waleed Al Alawi, deputy chief executive officer of Gulf Air. “Our latest IOSA renewal cements our ongoing commitment to safety and Gulf Air’s continuous development of IATA standards, regulatory requirements and practices within our operations. As we strive to remain at the forefront of safety developments this latest achievement reflects our success to date. We would like to congratulate Bahrain and the airline for yet another milestone for the Kingdom’s aviation industry.”

Gulf Air’s quality assurance department continuously reviews and appraises internal operational processes by conducting firm quality control processes and self-auditing between IOSA audits.

The IOSA programme sets standards designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline, covering approximately 1,000 standards and recommended practices related to the safety of operations and procedures of an airline.

All IATA members must remain on the IOSA registry to maintain their IATA membership.
