DACHSER ADDS MORE TRANSPACIFIC CHARTERS FOR NORTH, SOUTH AMERICA

Given the continued volatility in the air freight market, Dachser is adding more dedicated charter services from Asia to the United States to ensure capacity for customers with more flights scheduled from Hong Kong (HKG) and Shanghai (PVG) to Los Angeles (LAX).

After the successful inauguration flight on the HKG to LAX transpacific route during the last week of April, the logistics provider is now adding more charters throughout May with an additional route ex Shanghai PVG to LAX.

"We continue to see consistent demand for air freight services from Asia to the US not only for medical supplies but also for general cargo," said Edoardo Podestà, COO air & sea logistics and managing director of the company's Asia Pacific Business Unit.

"At Dachser we aim to promptly address the needs of our customers and provide effective solutions. Adding the new charters ensures our customers get access to premium capacity and reliable transit time, which as a result brings great benefits to the supply chain planning," he added.

Once the air charter lands in LAX, Dachser offers comprehensive road network connections via its 14 US branches, enabling door-to-door solutions in major cities.

The shipment can be further routed to Latin America for distribution to the key markets via the 13 Dachser branches.

In addition to the transpacific charters, the logistics service provider continues to operate the Asia-Europe routes.

Dachser said it just signed the 40th overall charter flight.
