DHL Express has appointed Herbert Vongpusanachai as managing director of Hong Kong and Macau.
“Hong Kong is a highly competitive and strategically critical market in every sector, not to mention its importance in the logistics industry and in DHL Express’ global network,” said Vongpusanachai. “I look forward to working closely with our team to leverage Hong Kong’s strategic advantages to connect its businesses to the world. We will also continue to navigate the evolving business environment, while driving continuous improvements in services and customer satisfaction."
Vongpusanachai succeeds Ken Lee, now CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific, and will be in charge of growth and overall operations in Hong Kong and Macau.
“Herbert’s appointment will undoubtedly consolidate our leadership as the express service provider of choice in the Hong Kong market,” said Lee. “His strong track record in capturing the growth potential of the Asian markets underscores his capability to maintain a profitable network for the company.”
Vongpusanachai joined DHL Express Thailand in 2003, and was appointed managing director of Thailand and Indochina in 2007. Most recently, he was managing director of DHL Express Singapore.
