SILK WAY WEST CONTINUES EXPANSION WITH NEW US ROUTES

Silk Way West Airlines continues its expansion with the announcement of two new scheduled North American services.

The Azerbaijan-based Silk Way West Airlines started a weekly Baku-Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) operation this month utilising one of its B747-400 freighters.

Crane Worldwide Logistics will run the service, which will include 80 inbound and outgoing flights this year.

The operations are expected to contribute around 14,400 tons of cargo at CVG.

Aircraft from Asia and Europe will arrive once a week until the summer when activity will increase to two flights each week.

The latest route expansion comes after Silk Way West earlier announced a new weekly Baku-Dallas Fort Worth service.
