Three airlines are commencing cargo routes to Southeast Asian destinations.

Etihad Cargo is starting a new routing to Hong Kong from November using its Boeing 747-8F. The service will be offered once a week, flying from Abu Dhabi to Hong Kong via Sharjah and Kabul, and returning to Abu Dhabi via Delhi. Etihad Cargo already has four different routings to Hong Kong: direct and via Chittagong, Delhi and Dhaka, according to the company’s network map.

Etihad Cargo, the freight division of Etihad Airways, has three Airbus A330-200F, three Boeing 777-200F, two Boeing 747-400F, and a Boeing 747-8F in its fleet.

Qatar Airways Cargo will launch a dedicated freighter service to Guangzhou. The thrice-weekly direct service will be flown with an Airbus A330-200F, of which it has three in its current fleet and 13 more on order.

Cathay Pacific Cargo will start serving the Cambodia market with a twice-weekly flight to Phnom Penh. A Boeing 747-400F will fly from Hong Kong to Phnom Penh via Singapore and Penang, and will return directly to Hong Kong.

In addition, China Southern Cargo is going to be flying a number of new routes starting this winter, all using a Boeing 777-200F.

From its Guangzhou base, it will operate a once-weekly flight to Dhaka and a twice-weekly flight to Frankfurt. Another flight to Frankfurt will operate via Vienna on the westbound leg three times a week.

There will also be a twice-weekly Los Angeles flight which makes a stop in Qingdao on the eastbound leg and in Zhengzhou on the westbound leg.

Lastly, China Southern will fly twice a week from Shanghai Pudong to Chicago via Zhengzhou and Anchorage. The flight returns to Shanghai non-stop.
