Qatar Airways has completed the inaugural flight of its Birmingham route.
“We are delighted to commence service to Birmingham, our fourth UK gateway,” said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive of the Qatar Airways Group. “This vibrant and economically powerful region represents an important addition to our worldwide network and is a testament to our commitment to the UK.”
The flight is operated by a Boeing 787-8 eight times a week.
The airline now operates 73 flights from Doha to the UK every week, with 42 to London Heathrow, 16 to Manchester, eight to Birmingham and seven to Edinburgh.
