CHALLENGE GROUP NOTES EXCEPTIONAL CARGO GROWTH IN ITS LIÈGE HUB

Challenge Group has noted "unprecedented growth" in cargo volumes at its Liège hub, which mostly serves pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, and perishable goods.

 

Its Liège hub has been expanded to 42,000 square meters from 7,500 square metres over the past five years and now has a capacity of 425,000 tons annually.

 

"Challenge Group's tonnage has skyrocketed from 78,000 tons in 2012 to an impressive 282,000 tons in 2022, showcasing the hub's remarkable development over the past five years," the international air cargo conglomerate said.

 

It added that Challenge Group's Liège hub has achieved remarkable milestones, including its 25th anniversary in 2021, and handles an average of 4,042 flights and 43,400 truck movements annually.

Zak noted that Challenge Group stands ready to support its clients, either freight forwarders, third-party carriers or importers/exporters, and meet their most demanding logistics needs.

 

Challenge Group noted that its Liège hub is also renowned for its sustainable practices.
