Oman Air intends to begin flying daily from Muscat to Manchester on April 1, 2017.
“The United Kingdom has always been one of the key markets for Oman Air,” said the carrier in a statement. “London Heathrow has been a flagship route for Oman Air and the carrier’s second daily frequency is a clear indication of the strong demand for flights between these two great cities.”
It is unclear whether the new flight will be operated by an Airbus A330 or a Boeing 787.
Oman Air announced a second daily flight to London with an A330-300 in April 2016.
The airline’s current fleet consists of four A330-200s, six A330-300s, one Boeing 737-700, 18 737-800s, five 737-900ERs, three 787-8s and four Embraer E175s.
