DHL Global Forwarding has launched a revamped GoGreen Plus portfolio, introducing three emissions‑reduction options including a new Base product that applies a default 10% cut in CO₂ output to all eligible shipments at a fixed flat rate.
The offering is designed to make lower‑emission transport more accessible and scalable for customers of all sizes as DHL expands its decarbonization tools across global logistics.
The portfolio now consists of three tiers: GoGreen Plus Base, which applies a default 10% emissions reduction through book‑and‑claim at a fixed flat rate under an opt‑out model; GoGreen Plus Premium, which offers an 85% reduction priced at the lane level; and GoGreen Plus Select, a tailored option for large customers that provides flexible emissions‑reduction levels customized to individual supply chains.
DHL said with GoGreen Plus Base, it offers a scalable solution that applies one fixed price across markets, shipment types, and routes, independent of origin or destination.
"You don't need to invest millions to make a difference. Any business can start small, with just a few extra Euros per shipment and without additional effort. This is a major step forward toward enabling more sustainable supply chains at scale," said Kathrin Brost, vice president Global Head of GoGreen Program at DHL Global Forwarding.
GoGreen Plus Base, Premium and Select are based on true value chain decarbonization. This is enabled by the 'book & claim' approach.
DHL said Book & claim enables it to directly replace fossil fuels with sustainable fuels within the logistic company's network and allocate environmental benefits to paying customers, even when their shipments are not physically transported with the assets using these fuels.
The enhancement of the GoGreen Plus portfolio comes at a time when demand for reliable emission reduced services continues to rise — and reflects DHL Group's commitment to helping customers decarbonize their supply chains through transparent, credible insetting solutions.
"We are proud to introduce solutions that truly change what customers can expect from emission reduced logistics," said Amanda Rasmussen, chief commercial officer at DHL Global Forwarding.
DHL’s GoGreen Plus Portfolio is positioned as part of the group’s wider decarbonisation plan, which includes a 2050 net‑zero target and an interim aim of sourcing 30% sustainable fuels by 2030.
The latest update broadens access to lower‑emission transport options, making more reduced‑carbon logistics services available across the customer base.
