ANA LAUNCHES ICEBATTERY TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED PRODUCT

All Nippon Airways has launched PRIO IB Fixed Temp., a new temperature-controlled product using the IceBattery system developed by Innovation thru Energy Co., Ltd.
According to ANA, the new service will be available from September 28, 2016 on flights departing Japan.
The product offers three temperature ranges: -25°C to -20°C, -20°C to -15°C and 2°C to 8°C. An LD3 container will only be able to support the 2°C-8°C range, while a 16L box and a 64L box will be capable of maintaining all three ranges.
The IceBattery takes 10 to 12 hours to charge and is safer than dry ice, according to Innovation thru Energy, which is based in Japan and was founded in December 2014.
