ATLAS ORDERS 9 767 CONVERSIONS
October 14, 2016
Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings has placed an order with Boeing to convert nine 767 passenger aircraft into Boeing Converted Freighters.
“Boeing has been a longtime and trusted partner as we’ve built our fleet and business,” said William J. Flynn, president and CEO of AAWH. “We look forward to continuing to work with Boeing to provide operational excellence and support for our customers.”
Four of the orders were previously announced at the Farnborough International Air Show in July 2016 and were attributed to an unidentified customer.
Approximately 400 widebody conversions are expected to take place over the next two decades, with the growth in e-commerce driving demand for 767 freighter conversions, according to Boeing’s market outlook.
