Airbus has delivered its 10,000^th aircraft, an A350-900 to Singapore Airlines.

The A350 is the airline’s sixth out of an order for 67, including seven of the ultra-long-range A350-900ULR variant which will be introduced from 2018.

Airbus delivered its first aircraft, an A300B2, to Air France in May 1974 and received the first order from Singapore Airlines in 1979.

According to Airbus, at current production rates, the 20,000^th aircraft is expected to be delivered in approximately 10 years’ time.
