SWISS ORDERS ADDITIONAL 777-300ER
October 27, 2016
Swiss International Air Lines has ordered an additional Boeing 777-300ER.
This will be the airline’s 10th 777-300ER. SWISS has already taken delivery of six.
“We value the continued confidence SWISS places in the 777 programme and are honoured that the 777-300ER will continue to play a prominent role in the airline’s expansion plans,” said Monty Oliver, vice president of European sales at Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
As the airline receives more 777s, it will eventually retire five of its 10 Airbus A340-300s.
“The 777-300ER will be the backbone of our long-haul fleet for many years to come,” said Peter Wojahn, chief technical officer of Swiss International Air Lines.
The 10th frame is expected to be delivered in 2018, according to SWISS.
