MAB KARGO TO LAUNCH CHONGQING
October 28, 2016
MAB Kargo will launch a freighter flight to Chongqing Kiangbei International Airport on October 30, 2016.
The twice-weekly flight will be operated by an Airbus A330-200F, which has a capacity of 60 tonnes.
MAB Kargo expects to transport electronic products from companies such as Apple, Asus and Hewlett-Packard to South and Southeast Asia via its Kuala Lumpur hub.
The carrier has stored its two Boeing 747-400Fs and recently reactivated a third A330-200F.
“With the 330 operations it puts us within a seven-to-eight-hour radius from Kuala Lumpur, which makes China an important market for us,” said Ahmad Luqman Ahmad Azmi, CEO of MAB Kargo.
MAB Kargo also operates freighter flights to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Zhengzhou in China.
