Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900.

The aircraft is on lease from AerCap and will initially be deployed on regional routes before launching the airline’s long-haul flight to Los Angeles in December 2017.

Hong Kong Airlines is the 15^th airline operator of the A350 and has 20 left on order.

To date, 848 firm orders have been placed for the A350 from 45 customers around the world, including 287 firm orders from Asia-Pacific carriers, according to Airbus.
