EVA Airways has announced its intent to order up to 24 Boeing 787-10s and two more 777-300ERs, worth a total of over US$8 billion at list prices.
EVA Airways will be part of the launch customer team for the 787-10 and will also be the first airline in Taiwan to operate the 787.
“We look forward to welcoming EVA Airways as Boeing’s newest member of the 787-10 Dreamliner launch customer group,” said Ray Conner, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “EVA Airways has been a valued Boeing customer over the past few decades and we are honoured that they continue to introduce new Boeing widebody airplanes into their growing world-class fleet.”
The airline already has 21 777-300ERs in its fleet, and will now have another 15 on order, as well as five 777 Freighters.
