UPS has announced its updated rates for 2016.

From October 26, 2015, UPS Freight rates will increase by an average of 4.9%.

Starting from November 2, 2015, the Over Maximum Packages surcharge will increase and the tables for Ground, Air and International fuel surcharges will be updated.

From December 28, 2015, rates and other charges for UPS Ground will also increase by an average of 4.9%. Prices for UPS Air and International, including UPS Air Freight services within and between the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, will go up by 5.2%.

There will be an additional charge for UPS’ Third-Party Billing service from January 4, 2016.

According to UPS, the rate and surcharge increases are the result of higher costs, changing demand for select UPS products and other market factors.
