Emirates will launch its second daily flight to Los Angeles International Airport on July 1, 2016.
The flight will be operated by an Airbus A380-800, and adds to the existing daily A380 flight.
According to the airline, fresh fruits and vegetables account for the largest portion of Emirates’ cargo exports from Los Angeles and are predominantly bound for Dubai and Kuwait. Apart from the daily A380 passenger flight, Emirates’ SkyCargo division also flies two Boeing 777 Freighters to Los Angeles every week.
Other goods and products transported on the route include garments, automobiles, machinery and agricultural cargo to the Middle East, and medical equipment to Mumbai.
