The airline carried 29 percent more imports into and 10 percent more exports out of its base at Hamad International Airport. Transit cargo also increased 39 percent compared to 2014.

In January 2016, Qatar Airways Cargo launched a freighter service to Dallas/Fort Worth and is due to begin freighter flights to Budapest, Prague and Ho Chi Minh City in March.

The carrier received its eighth Airbus A330-200F in February and expects to take delivery of three more Boeing 777Fs during 2016.

Approximately 51 percent of shipments are transported by its current fleet of eight A330-200Fs, one 747-400F and eight 777Fs, according to the airline.
