UPS AIRLINES NAMES BILL MOORE AS NEXT PRESIDENT
September 21, 2023

Bill Moore will be taking the helm at UPS Airlines starting in October.

The aircraft maintenance veteran will manage UPS global air operations as well as UPS Worldport, the company's global air hub in Louisville, Kentucky, according to a press release.

"Bill's going to be an outstanding leader for UPS Airlines. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the position," said Nando Cesarone, UPS executive vice president and president US.

"We're confident his excellent track record leading our aircraft maintenance and engineering teams will serve him well in ensuring we remain a global leader in safety and performance," he added.

Prior to this role, Moore was the President of UPS Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering where he worked on safety, compliance, aircraft performance, and fleet reliability. He's been with UPS for 30 years.

Moore's LinkedIn profile, however, showed him as UPS Airlines president since September.

Jim Joseph, current president of UPS Airlines, will transition into a new role to advance the company's Better and Bolder strategy while remaining with UPS. He held the position for a year and a half.

"Jim is an incredible leader who has played a major role in the expansion of our weekend service offerings, time-in-transit improvements and the deployment of multiple operational technologies that bolstered our service capabilities," Cesarone said.

UPS noted that the Better and Bolder initiative will use state-of-the-art technology and automation to serve customers faster and more efficiently while maintaining world-class service levels and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
