Saudia Cargo has expanded its Chinese network with two weekly flights to Shenzhen, a major e-commerce centre.
As of March 15, the new services will operate every Monday and Friday, connecting Shenzhen with Riyadh.
This new development is expected to create more opportunities for Chinese companies, particularly those in the e-commerce sector, as Shenzhen is home to several leading companies, including Alibaba, Temu and TikTok.
"This expansion underscores our commitment to providing reliable and efficient air cargo services to our customers in China. With Shenzhen being a key hub for e-commerce, we see tremendous potential for growth and are dedicated to serving the needs of our customers in this dynamic market," said
Teddy Zebitz, CEO of Saudia Cargo.
Saudia Cargo has partnerships with several major Chinese e-commerce companies, including Cainiao, Alibaba's logistics arm.
The airline is also Cainiao's largest partner in Saudi Arabia, helping it serve domestic and international e-commerce markets.
