JD LOGISTICS TO DOUBLE OVERSEAS WAREHOUSING CAPACITY BY END 2025

JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, has announced plans to double its overseas warehouse space by the end of 2025 as part of the company's broader global supply chain strategy to meet the growing demand for cross-border logistics solutions.

As part of this effort, JD Logistics said it will also expand its network of bonded and direct-mail warehouses.

Additionally, the company aims to extend its international express delivery services from China to approximately 80 countries and regions by the end of this year.

JD Logistics currently operates nearly 100 bonded, direct mail, and overseas warehouses.

Its global supply chain network includes overseas warehousing, international transfer centres, local transportation systems, and cross-border transportation routes—all supported by advanced supply chain technology.

As of June 2023, JD Logistics said it operates nearly 100 bonded, direct mail, and overseas warehouses worldwide, totalling close to 1 million square meters in key markets such as the US, Germany, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Vietnam, the UAE, Australia, and Malaysia, among others.

These facilities offer localized services to support both international clients and Chinese brands seeking global growth.

JD Logistics said it is focused on expanding its presence in Europe and the US, establishing collaborative supply chain networks capable of delivering fulfilment services within 24 hours in several regions.

The company plans to increase its international cargo flights from China to destinations such as Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, the US, and Europe to enhance cross-border transportation services.

It will also explore the development of self-operated transportation and delivery capabilities overseas.

Ahead of this year's Single’s Day shopping festival (or 11.11), JD Logistics noted that it will launch a new express delivery service from China to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

The service is expected to expand to approximately 80 countries and regions by the end of this year.
