On the same day, Thai Lion Air, operating from Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, also commenced its inaugural service on the Bangkok-Hong Kong route.

"We warmly welcome Indonesia AirAsia and Thai Lion Air to join the AAT family. The addition of these new routes not only strengthens our regional connectivity but also enhances the trade and tourism ties between Hong Kong and the bustling cities of Bali and Bangkok," said Mike Chew, chief executive officer at AAT.

"With our unwavering focus on operational and service excellence, we are committed to contributing to the business growth of the airlines in Hong Kong," he added.
