SF AIRLINES STARTS EZHOU-OSLO CARGO SERVICE

SF Airlines has introduced a new freighter service to Oslo Airport, aiming to meet the rising demand for e-commerce and seafood shipments.

The service began operations on January 14 using a Boeing 767 freighter. This flight route departs from Ezhou Huahu International Airport in Hubei, touted as China's first cargo-focused airport, stopping at Astana International Airport in Kazakhstan.

Cargo to be transported includes express packages, e-commerce products, and export goods such as Norwegian salmon destined for China.

Avinor, the operator of Oslo airport, stated that China is Norway's largest seafood market in Asia and the fastest-growing market globally, highlighting the critical need for reliable logistics between the two countries.

Eva Beate Lande, director of Cargo at Avinor, said this is the first time SF Airlines is flying to Norway and Ezhou's first freight route to Norway.

"This is a new milestone for Norwegian seafood exports and a testament to the strong cooperation between Norway and China. The new route will not only provide faster and more efficient access to the Chinese market but also strengthen Norway’s position as a leading seafood exporter," Lande added.

SF Airlines has experienced significant growth in recent years, operating a fleet of 87 aircraft, as reported by FlightRadar24.

Meanwhile, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has been noted for its location, situated in Echeng District, Ezhou City, within a 1.5-hour flight radius of five major national urban agglomerations, including the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions.

The airport is surrounded by three main railway lines, seven highways, and five deep-water ports, constituting a comprehensive multimodal transportation network, ensuring solid support for cargo distribution.
