LUFTHANSA CARGO TO LAUNCH NEW ONLINE PRODUCT FOR STANDARD SHIPMENTS

Lufthansa Cargo will launch an online product for standard air cargo shipments from September 2016.

 

According to Lufthansa Cargo, the offering, known as td.Basic, will only be available through Lufthansa Cargo’s online channels, and will be suitable for customers who are willing to accept a transit time which is three days longer on average than with the current td.Pro product.

 

“We are now adding a price offensive to our long-standing quality offensive,” said Alexis von Hoensbroech, board member for product and sales at Lufthansa Cargo. “Our customers will be able to benefit from Lufthansa quality with particularly price-sensitive cargo as well from September. The new td.Basic product, which will add to the td.Pro standard offering and the td.Flash express offering, is part of the carrier’s CARGO eVOLUTION strategy to advance digitization, according to Lufthansa Cargo.
