Thai Airways International has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900, becoming the eighth airline operator of the type.

The airline has 11 more A350s on order.

The first aircraft will initially be deployed on the domestic Bangkok-Chiang Mai and Bangkok-Phuket routes before operating flights between Bangkok and Melbourne route starting from September 16, 2016, according to THAI.
