Cargo volumes at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) maintained its growth trajectory in September, handling 170,505 metric tons of cargo.
Last month's cargo throughput, comprising airfreight and airmail, was 0.6% higher compared to the same period in 2024.
Month-on-month, however, September's cargo volume is lower than the 174,388 metric tonnes the airport handled in August.

This is also less than the 179,055 metric tonnes recorded in July, which was the second-highest monthly total so far in 2025.
Aircraft movements in September climbed by 5.5% to 41,997 takeoffs and landings.
Accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) were around 2.5 million metric tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.9%.
