Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) has unveiled its East-West service network for next year — showing increase Southeast Asia connections and continued rerouting of vessels via the Cape of Good Hope, even as the tensions in the Red Sea continue to ease.
The Taiwan-headquartered global shipping line said the enhanced service setup will enter into effect in April 2026.
"Compared to the 2025 service portfolio, the Trans-Pacific network will further strengthen connections to Southeast Asia with increased sailing frequencies," Yang Ming said in a statement.
It noted that Asia–Europe network will be refined with feeder coverage to ensure stable and flexible East–West connectivity.
With the optimized service offering, Yang Ming said it will also continue to provide reliable and resilient operations.
Continued routing at the Cape of Good Hope
"2026 East-West service network will be routed via the Cape of Good Hope," Yang Ming said.
"We are closely monitoring the situations of Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Suez Canal, and will update our valued customers on any change to the service network," the global shipping line added.
