Seaspan Corporation has accepted delivery of the Maersk Genoa, a 10,000 TEU container vessel sailing under the Hong Kong flag.

According to Seaspan, the ship has begun a five-year, fixed-rate time charter with Maersk Line, which has two consecutive one-year options to extend the charter.

The ship was constructed at Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. and is 11^th vessel in the 10,000 TEU SAVER class. It is the second of two 10,000 TEU SAVER vessels chartered to Maersk by Seaspan.

Seaspan now has an operating fleet of 89 vessels, according to the company.
