Gulf Air has signed a ground-handling services contract with Swissport Saudi Arabia.

Under the agreement, Swissport Saudi Arabia will be responsible for all passenger and cargo handling services for Gulf Air’s operations at Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport, Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport and Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport.

“We are proud to be able to assist Gulf Air with professional ground-handling services,” said Thomas Bommer, CEO of Swissport Saudi Arabia. “A key feature of the collaboration with Gulf Air will be a high degree of customer focus and innovation that we intend to bring to the operation. We see a great potential for continuing to expand this partnership in the future as well.”

Swissport International has brought in additional ground equipment and recruited 250 more staff members in preparation for the new agreement, according to Gulf Air.
