Etihad Cargo has enrolled Kerry Logistics as the 4,000th member into its CargoConnect loyalty programme.
“Customer loyalty plays a big part in the success of Etihad Cargo operations worldwide,” said David Kerr, senior vice president of Etihad Cargo. “We’re delighted to have the ongoing support and commitment of our partners who have contributed to the record levels of uplift during October.”
In celebration of the milestone, Sammy Mak, senior vice president of logistics and carrier procurement at Kerry Logistics, accepted 150,000 CargoConnect miles from Etihad Cargo on behalf of his company. These miles can be redeemed for rewards such as flights, office equipment and smartphones.
Etihad Cargo carried a record level of freight in October 2016, having transported 53,785 tonnes. This was 501 tonnes more than the previous record set in November 2014.
The new record reflected growth in perishables traffic from Africa, US inbound and outbound traffic, as well as volumes from Europe to the Asia-Pacific region, according to Etihad Cargo.
