ULD management provider Jettainer has launched its own app for smartphones.

According to Jettainer, the app, called JettApp, is now available for Android devices and helps employees manage the pallets and containers of airline customers more efficiently and transparently.

“With the JettApp for smartphones, we’re expanding the service for our customers,” said Thorsten Riekert, director of sales at Jettainer. “The intuitive usability helps make our employees’ work easier at their individual locations. At the same time, we’re also increasing the process effectiveness and taking another step towards digitalization and paperless work.”

The app individually summarizes and presents all relevant ULD movements. It also facilitates the handling of complete pallet stacks and allows users to exchange messages and search for ULDs or air waybills.

A tablet version of the app was introduced in 2012 and is used by approximately 5,000 people, all of whom will be able to use the mobile version with their existing credentials.

An iOS version is currently being planned and developed, according to Jettainer.
