The new independent GSSA network 1GSA has appointed e-Cargoware as its preferred supplier of IT systems, providing all members with access to preferential rates to its GSA management system.

According to 1GSA, e-Cargoware is already installed and operational at Select Airline Management, founder member and UK representative. M&C Aviation, which was one of the first GSSA companies to join the 1GSA network and covers seven countries in Asia, is half-way through implementation across its branch network.

“Our research and personal experience have shown e-Cargoware to be the most advanced GSSA system on offer today,” said David Lee, president of 1GSA. “In my own company, Select, it is revolutionizing how we work, and definitely strengthens our offering both to forwarders and airlines. It was therefore the obvious choice as the first of our preferred suppliers, adding further value to 1GSA membership.”

e-Cargoware is a web-enabled and cloud-based service. It will allow all 1GSA members to interface with each other and to act as a single unit managed from one location, in cases where airlines wish to appoint multiple 1GSA stations. Functions include auto quotations, reservations, flight planning and capacity control, AWB stock management, pre-alerts and manifesting to handlers, and auto post flights. It also provides charges calculation, job costing, invoicing, schedule management, CASS settlements processing, sub-GSA management, Cargo-IMP message processing, management reports, customisable CSR reports and track and trace.

e-Cargoware supports multi-station and multi-currency, is e-AWB and e-freight compliant, and uses e-Pouch to store documents electronically. Using its mobile-friendly FR8 Booking web interface, 1GSA members will be able to provide a customized quotes and booking facility to forwarders.
