United Airlines will launch a non-stop flight between Los Angeles and Singapore on October 27, 2017.
The new daily flight will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 and will be the longest scheduled flight by a US airline as well as the longest 787 flight, covering a distance of approximately 8,700 miles in 17 hours and 55 minutes westbound and 15 hours and 15 minutes eastbound.
With the launch of the non-stop flight, United will terminate its daily service between Hong Kong and Singapore.
United launched a daily non-stop flight between San Francisco and Singapore using a 787-9 on June 1, 2016.
