According to Bolloré, the accreditation means that the company sets and maintains the highest level of international supply chain and customs compliance. It applies to Bolloré’s operations in Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

“Being certified an Australian Trusted Trader further supports and facilitates the handling of clients’ international supply and expedites the flow of legitimate trade from all sites in Australia,” said Michael Pinnock [centre], national customs manager of Bolloré Logistics Australia.

As a Trusted Trader, Bolloré will have access to benefits such as reduced cargo inspections at the border, improved lead time, duty deferral, streamlined reporting and priority trade services. Mutual Recognition Arrangements between the Australian government and Bolloré will also reduce the customs regulatory burden for Australian exporters entering foreign markets.

Further benefits will include enhanced cross-agency collaboration with other border agencies, labour mobility and secure trade lanes, according to Bolloré.
