MAB Kargo has launched express freighter services from Kuala Lumpur to the cities of Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
The two cities will each be served five times a week with an Airbus A330-200F, which departs Kuala Lumpur early in the morning to allow shipments to be processed before noon.
“As the Asian cross-border e-commerce is booming, MASkargo is poised to tap into this market given the world-class warehouse facilities we operate and our vast belly and freighter network,” said Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, CEO of MAB Kargo. “This express freighter service to East Malaysia is timely as we intend to position KLIA to be a major e-commerce hub in the region.”
The service is targeted at the growing e-commerce and courier business demand between East and West Malaysia. The inaugural flights carried approximately 30 tonnes of cargo each.
The schedule for the new flights is as follows.
