Cargolux has added Atlanta to its destinations served from Zhengzhou, China.

Atlanta becomes the second North American city to be served by Cargolux from the Chinese hub.

The new flight is operated on Sundays and Wednesdays with a Boeing 747-8 freighter.

According to Cargolux, demand on the Zhengzhou flights is exceptionally strong, fuelled in part by growth in e-commerce. Demand from Asia to the Americas is also boosted by growing markets in Brazil and Mexico, mainly served via North America.

Cargolux also connects Zhengzhou and Chicago with direct flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
